Supergirl and the Legion of Super-heroes #27 - DC

This book is really reaching a fever pitch. The Dominators are making a play for the earth. That red cloud that was released last issue, when they thought they were beating the robot, was actually a Dominator virus that spread out over the world and in to everything mechanical, or technological. So now, the world seems to be coming apart at the seems. I mean think about it. Even today, where honestly were really just starting to put our lives in the hands of technology, we'd be lost without it. But imagine 2000 years into the future, when tech's a part of everything, including the air and the atmosphere and the weather. Then we'd really be screwed. So anyways, this is how the Dominators plan to take over. But, they still have to defeat the Legion, and the Wanderers. In the face of crisis though, Mekt is really starting to show his true colors. Shrinking Violet puts it the best when she says, "I wouldn't follow that guy across the street." Then to add insult to injury, the Dominators have also breed a warrior class, " . . . warriors more physically suited than we to physical combat." Which is what they're planning on using as their ground troops. The final scene of the book is Cosmic Boy trying to hold them off, by himself, and he's just being swarmed over. As I've said many times, Mark Waid and Barry Kitson, when they work together, are like a dream team. You couldn't ask for better creative control. I don't expect them to stay here forever, but I hope it's for a long time to come.
