This is a really good book. The problem with it is that some of these books come out before Civil War #7, and some don't. So, as they're going through this story, there's a lot of references, obviously, to the final battle, that's told in Civil War #7. Well, they don't want anything here to spoil that, so all the references in this book are vague and ambiguous. Really this whole issue boils down to about 5 pages. The rest, really, is nondescript bullshit. We have a page where MJ is looking out the window worried about Peter. She doesn't know that she's being watched by a sniper from the building across the street. There's a page where there's a heartfelt moment between Peter and MJ, because he has called her to tell her he loves her, before the fight begins. There's the page where MJ and May are watching all the chaos and mayhem on the TV hoping that they'll find out what's going on with Peter. There's the 2 pages when Peter finally comes back to the hotel afterwards and is immediately on edge because his spider sense tells him something is about to happen. A shot is fired and he pulls MJ out of the way. And then there's the final page where we see May on her knees, holding a hand to her stomach to catch the blood where she's been shot. And Peter screaming, "NOOOOOOO!!!!". Really other than that, the rest was worthless. So really, this could've been a back up story. I love this book, so I hate to complain to much, but I'm really glad this Civil War thing is almost over. It doesn't seem like all the peripheral books were planned out very carefully. But . . . . whatever. Thanks again to www.milehighcomics.com for the assist with the cover.
