I spend a lot of time and money buying and reading comics. Most of the time I'm happy with my choices, sometimes not. I'm hoping, that with my reviews on what I've read, I might spare someone else dissapointment. I'll read anything, but I can't afford everything. If there's something you'd like for me to read, let me know. If you take the time to read this, please, take the time to let me know what you think. I may not agree with you, or you may not agree with me. But, so what. That's life.

Deadman #7 - Vertigo
I really like what Bruce Jones is doing with this storyline. I like the direction that he's going. Also, at first, I wasn't over thrilled with John Watkiss' pencils, but I'm starting to feel that his style is perfect for this book. Last issue we started to see how Scott got involved in this remote viewing project. He used it to try to make contact with his father, who was in a coma. However, there was another being who anticipated his interest, and laid in wait in his father's hospital room. He's actually the devil, or some kind of devil. He leaves Scott in his dimension, and then takes over his body in ours. Apparently this is all being done to conceive with his wife, Sarah. Because, in the other dimension, Scott can see what's going on, as Devlin, the devil as he calls himself, is in the process of raping his wife. So he uses his remote viewing powers to try to reestablish his hold on his own body, and does so right at the moment of conception. Scott and Sarah are now going to be parents. Of what, we don't know yet. But now he want to get Scott on a plane to kill him. Sound familiar? I think this is where we came in to the story 7 issues ago. I really like the way Bruce is bouncing back and forth thru time, and realities, to tell this story. It gives us a sense of just how desperate this Devlin character is. And I really like the premise of this whole thing. Another feather in the cap of Vertigo!
