Superman & Batman vs Aliens & Predator #2 - DC

I liked this book. I liked the premise of the whole thing. But, obviously, the best part about the whole book was the artwork. Ariel Olivetti is turning in to a true master with his story telling. And he's putting out books on a pretty consistent basis to. Seriously, I would put him in the ranks with Adam Hughes. But, with Adam's work, other than his covers, his books are few and far between. In fact I don't think I've seen him on anything consistently, in the last year or two. There were rumors about him doing an All-Star comic, but I haven't heard anything lately. Anyways, back to the book at hand. Basically, Superman decides that, whether he likes it or not, both of theses races are living beings. So, he has to do everything in his power to help them survive, and maybe get them back on track and heading for home. So, he brings his fortress to them. It's in a tesseract, a pocket dimension, so he can access the whole thing from a sphere about the size of a garage. Because that's the opening, or access point he has for it. Anyways, he gets them to go in to the tesseract, but it's such an alien environment, that they almost immediately start to revolt. Batman and Lois have to chase them down and try to subdue them. Meanwhile, Superman is trying to protect them from the outside, because the TDI just wants to nuke the whole mess. The only way to keep them manageable is to knock them out, so Superman, with the help of Batman, does just that. They whisk off out of the atmosphere and put all the knocked out aliens on their fixed ship, and point it towards home. At the end, come to find out, although Batman didn't agree with Superman, the Predators had a fail-safe set up that if they were nuked, one of their own would be set off, and it was a planet destroying nuke. So although Superman was just trying to be altruistic, he actually saved the earth by doing the right thing. But do we really expect anything less from him? But overall, a very nice mini-series, with some cool ideas and concepts. I would definitely recommend it.
