They're going to make us wait until the last issue of the series to give us a verdict on Wonder Woman. This is actually one of the most conceivable cross-overs I've seen in a long time. The reason Wonder Woman is here, is because Kate Spencer is her lawyer. Who also happens to be ManHunter. But anyways, Wonder Woman admits to Kate this issue, that the reason she killed Max was because he was controlling Superman. But, she won't let her use that in court, because she doesn't want to undermine the world's belief in him. Kate understands Wonder Woman's reservations, but she thinks that Superman should actually be given the choice. So she gets in touch with Lois Lane, to put her in contact with Superman. Apparently here argument was persuasive because Superman then goes to the Judge and Prosecutor of the case to tell them how Max was controlling him. But, it's actually a moot point, because the Grand Jury is already deliberating. She just suggests that he enter it as evidence should they go to trial. Meanwhile Dylan Battles has gotten a suit, a super suit, and is going to try to rescue Terry, his girlfriend, and Cameron, her sister, from Trapp. Also Mark Shaw is being visited again by the voices of St. Dumas. They want him to be their new champion, but Mark refuses. Also Kate has gotten some news from Batman about Ted, the Blue Beetle. She calls him over to confront him about it. They've figured out that he is actually Everyman. You know, of the Lex Luthor bunch. But Kate doesn't know that yet. All she knows is that he's trying to kill her. Then on the final page, after the Everyman disappears on her, she gets a call saying the Grand Jury has come to a verdict. I really like the way Marc Andreyko writes this story. He seems to have a really good grasp of the characters. And I'm still pleasantly surprised by Javier Pina's pencils. To bad there's only one more issue left of this series. But I'm sure the creators will land on their feet in another title. And ManHunter . . . is probably going to be lots of places.
