I spend a lot of time and money buying and reading comics. Most of the time I'm happy with my choices, sometimes not. I'm hoping, that with my reviews on what I've read, I might spare someone else dissapointment. I'll read anything, but I can't afford everything. If there's something you'd like for me to read, let me know. If you take the time to read this, please, take the time to let me know what you think. I may not agree with you, or you may not agree with me. But, so what. That's life.

X-Men: World's Apart #2 - Marvel
This issue . . this series actually . . is all about Ororo. She's in a fight for her life with the Shadow King. Well, actually . . her life, that of her husband's T'Challa, and Nezhno's. It seems that everything hangs in the balance of her outcome of this attack by his evilness. The problem with fighting this guy . . actually everytime he's reared his ugly head . . is that, like in this instance, Ororo is the only one who can actually see him. He's hiding inside T'Challa's body, orchestrating his hurt and betrayal onto Storm, and maybe bringing about the downfall of Wakanda, but . . Ororo is the only one who actually knows what's going on. Everyone else thinks it's just the king, acting . . eccentric. But he also makes Ororo choose. She has to choose her allegiances. During their fight in the sewers, while Scott's mental attention was down, the Shadow King slipped in and convinced him that Emma was going to betray him. He's convinced that Emma is eventually going to abuse his trust and when she does . . she's going to kill the X-Men. So, while Ororo is fighting in Wakanda, Scott is flying back to San Francisco to kill Emma, because he convinced himself that it's the right thing to do . . for the team. The Shadow King gives Ororo a decision to make, " . . try to save your love . . or save your precious X-Men?" Eventually, Storm and Nezhno break free of the city and go into the brush for a little respite. While there Ororo summons up a storm and takes down Scott's jet . . on the other side of the world. But it isn't long before T'Challa's bodyguards, the Dora Milaje . . also his wives in waiting . . show up and do their duty to protect their monarch. It takes a while but they do beat them, however . . now she's going to have to fight T'Challa 'Mano-e-Mano'. "The Shadow King knows. He can see right into my heart. Because while I may risk killing Cyclops . . I would rather kill myself than harm T'Challa. And that is why I have already lost." I like the story. I think Christopher Yost is doing a pretty decent job. I do question one part though . . it doesn't seem that Ororo is giving T'Challa very much credit for the amount of fight that he's putting up inside of his own body. It seems like she's already counted him out. Anyways, Diogenes Neves is the penciller. I don't know that I've seen his work before, but I like it. He's got a really good style. I like this series. I just don't know if this is going to solidify her position in Wakanda, or eventually bring her back to the X-Men. It could go either way.
