I spend a lot of time and money buying and reading comics. Most of the time I'm happy with my choices, sometimes not. I'm hoping, that with my reviews on what I've read, I might spare someone else dissapointment. I'll read anything, but I can't afford everything. If there's something you'd like for me to read, let me know. If you take the time to read this, please, take the time to let me know what you think. I may not agree with you, or you may not agree with me. But, so what. That's life.

Supergirl #35 - DC
This issue is all part of the New Krypton storyline. I thought that Sterling Gates and Jamal Igle did a great job of blending these stories seamlessly. Although, this one doesn't really have much to do with the events going on in the streets of Metropolis. We do get a couple of glimpses of encounters with the Kryptonians as they swarm across the globe looking to familiarize themselves with the new planet they call home. But mostly, this story is about Kara and . . . her condition. Who knew all this erratic behavior or hers could be attributed to a 'condition'. Actually, what we find out this issue, is that she's suffered Kryptonite poisoning. When her rocket came to Earth, it was followed by large hunks of Kryptonite right behind it. So when it crash landed . . it all fell into the same hole. Basically, the whole 30 years that she spent in suspended animation, she was surrounded by Kryptonite. The biggest side-effect of which is her erratic memory. They also include hallucinations, mood swings and personality shifts. You know, if I didn't know better, I'd say it sounded like a bad case of PMS. Anyways, back in Kandor, her parents put her into a regeneration cabinet that's going to purge her body of all of the K-radiation. With that she regains all of her memories so she know the real story of what happened in Kandor and Argo City and how she came to be an inhabitant of Earth. We get the start of 2 other things this issue . . . 1 it looks like the military is trying to fix and bring back Reactron. And, at the end of this issue, we see that someone else is leaving Kandor, and she's dressing and calling herself Superwoman. I enjoyed this issue. It was nice to get the real story of what happened to her, and to get her out of this moodiness that she's been going through. I think she still needs to have her own mission, and goals . . she can't just be a female version of Superman. She needs an identity. Hopefully with this 'breakthrough' she'll be that much closer to getting there.
