Teen Titans #57 - DC

This book, and this series, is fantastic. Surprisingly, Eddy Barrows, who does the art, and has for a couple of issues, really show some promising growth. He's fairly new to the scene, and I always thought he was ok. But I really like what he's doing, and how he's progressing, in this title. Of course some props have to go to Sean McKeever for his scripts. Actually, this new story-arc, with the Terror Titans, I think, is brilliant. So far we've seen Copperhead, Persuader and Dreadbolt. They're being lead by the Clock King. Last issue they took out Kid Devil. This issue they have their sites set on the Ravager. But she ends up being a bit more than they can handle. Still, in the end, she has to blow up part of the tower in order to escape from them. We also see some more of Wendy and Marvin this issue. Do you remember the Super-friends cartoon on TV? They had some twins named Wendy and Marvin. They were the Wonder Twins. Remember? "Wonder Twins power . . activate!" I know. It was corny. Anyways, these 2 don't have any powers . . other than being super-smart. They're really just a homage to those characters. But it seems as if their roles have been getting larger, gradually, the last couple of issues. At the end of the book, we don't really know if Rose evaded capture or not. All we can see is the Tower burning. I thought it was an excellent issue, that definitely keeps with the long heritage of these characters. Even if we didn't get to see the rest of them, I thought it was a great spotlight for Rose's character. Plus, the new Titans book will be coming out in another week or 2. I can't wait.
