the Boys #26 - Dynamite Entertainment

This issue was ok, but . . . I kind of thought it was a little boring compared to some of the other ones. I think we're kind of getting ready for something big to happen, but . . it just hasn't yet. Wee Hughie has infiltrate the G-Men, as Bagpipe, and he's got all the bugs planted. But now, he kind of wants to stick around and see what all the hype is all about. Especially this group that he's in, G-Wiz. They seem like they're ok. They aren't all whacked out like the rest of them. But, while he's talking to Butcher, having these warm feelings and all, Godolkin is have this big get together at the mansion and some of the other members are complaining about how they think they G-Men are just getting to numerous. And the extended offer to Bagpipe is just kind of sitting in their craw. With the G-Men being one of the biggest franchises in their world, everytime a member is added their residual percentages get lowered. Plus, with new members, they're worried about some of their secrets leaking. Hughie's oblivious to all of this though because he's out in some field somewhere shagging his little tart. He's feeling pretty good right now so I don't think he's going to have the same feeling about the group when he gets back and starts to feel all the animosity. And Butcher seems to have found out a bit of information. I'm not sure if it's about Hughie and his girlfriend, but . . that's guess. As always, Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson are doing a great job with this book. I liked the book, and this story . . we got a lot of information this issue, but like I said . . it just wasn't as exciting as some of the rest. It was still a good book though. I would definitely recommend this series to anyone that I could.
