This is a fantastic book. Last issue ended with Reed giving Peter the option to take away his spider powers. He said he could cure him. He didn't know what to do, but right now he had more important concerns, like aunt May. And, Colonel Fury seems to have a hard on for him right now too. So he takes off and goes to the hospital to check on May. Fury comes in and has a heart to heart with him. He tells him that the reason he created the spider slayers is because he had to be ready for the eventuality of Peter going off the deep end. And after everything that's happened in his life, he wouldn't blame him if he did. But, the fact that he didn't is a testament to his resolve, and he thinks that Peter may actually be one of the good guys. Which really helps to lift Peter up. Also, when May wakes up, she tells him how proud she is of him. And, even in her condition, she's still more worried about him than herself. He's back together with MJ, but he's really burnt his bridge with Kitty. That one's going to come back to bite him sooner or later. And at the end we find out the Fury still has the Peter/Scorpion clone, and the Gwen clone. Only time will tell what he plans on doing with them. I love this book. I can't believe Mark Bagley will be leaving us pretty soon. But, you can't blame the guy for wanting to do something different.
