Nightwing #129 - DC

They're stretching out this Bride & Groom thing a bit. They've been around for a few issues now, but we don't know a whole lot more about them than we did in the beginning. From the prologue, though, it seems like the Groom was around in Salem Massachusetts, circa 1690. At least that's what it looks like. Anyways, what we do know is that we have a man and a woman, who appear to like to dress up as newlyweds, and then set off on a murderous spree, to assuage their carnal lust. Dick almost runs in to them this issue. Not really though. More like just crossing their path. By accident. With no idea who they are or what they look like. It appears that Marv Wolfman is trying to get Dick more grounded. He seems to be trying to establish a circle of friends or acquaintances. Which goes against everything that Bruce taught him, but, Dick is more of a people person. He's seems to be hovering around Dahlia and her son Philip. I think he's feels some guilt over her husband's death. Even though it really was his own fault for getting mixed up in the whole Raptor thing. Also it looks like he's going to take a job at Bones, a gym, where he is going to be teaching some students. Anyways, as I said, is seems that Marv is trying to get Dick to have a more normal existence. But trouble does seem to find him. The book does have a good feel to it though. Much more upbeat than most of the Bat books.
