This one wraps up the Dr. Mid-Nite storyline. Last issue he was attacked by an apparent vampire, Mircea. I say apparent because Mid-Nite disproves it this issue. It turns out that this guy was infected with the same illegal drug that turned Pieter in to who he is today. It's a type of steroid called A-39. But in this guy it also caused severe psychological damage. Somehow he convinced himself that he was a vampire. He even altered his appearance to make it so. But Pieter doesn't let all the self-doubt and superstition slow him down. He's decides rather to trust in his science. The next time he fights Mircea, he takes him down and turns him over to the police. But, the story hasn't ended, because somehow the two are still connected. But it's a story for the future. JTKrul writes the story. It's ambitious, but a little predictable. If it's presents a lasting change in the Dr. Mid-Nite character, then fine. But . . . I don't know. The penciler Alex Sanchez, seems to lend his style to a couple of different sources. I can see glimpses of other artists all over in his work, but nothing specific. I think he has huge potential, but I think right now he's borrowing from other people styles to much. But again, that's just my opinion. But overall a very nice book.
