We're about to enter back in to the Star Sapphire story-lines. There's a little bit of a twist this time though. This doesn't really happen at the most opportune of times though, because we're about to be invaded by the Sinestro Corps also. Talk about kicking a man when he's down. Hal is about to be put through a lot of crap. But, the creative team is incredible. Geoff Johns writes and Daniel Acuna, from Freedom Fighters, takes over on pencils this issue. And the end product is incredible. We start out with a little background on Ferris Aircraft, which includes Carol, Tom and Hal. Carol is flying in to a meeting, when she is attacked by Star Sapphire. They want Carol because they think that she is still the one that Hal desires. They want him to be their mate, so they want a host that he will be pleased with. When they figure out that Carol is married, and therefore no longer desired by Hal, they drop her like a hot potato. Literally. Meanwhile Hal is at a local "pilot" bar talking to Cowgirl about their recent experiences. The Star Sapphire tunes in on him, and with Carol's body, goes to confront him. In the battle Star can feel Hal's feeling for Cowgirl, and so decide to use her as their host instead. Hal of course has to save Carol, but this time Carol can help him too. In the process of their bonding, she got some of their information, "I saw it all this time. I know what the Star Sapphire is. They come from Sector 1416. The Zamarons . . . Sinestro . . . " And as he's trying to save Carol, he's confronted by the new Star Sapphire, Cowgirl. "Tell me, Hal . . . do ya want this body instead? It's awful yummy!" We also get our first . . . well actually, second look at the Sinestro Corps in the back-up story. It's by Geoff Johns and Dave Gibbons. And it looks great. This is really going to shake some things up.
