Time for one of my monthly indulgences. This one features Superman, Guy Gardner and Star-girl. They end up on Apokolips, when investigating a disturbance on an alien planet, they come across a black hole that Darkseid is playing with. Of course they don't know that it came from him, but when they're sucked in to it, the end up in Armagetto. The slums of Apokolips. I think this one, besides featuring Apokolips and later on the New Gods, is mostly about the interpersonal dynamic between Superman and Guy. Superman is basically scolding him at first, for his heavy-handed and rambunctious tactics. But by the end of the book they have an appreciation for each other. Even though they may go about things different ways, and Superman may especially not agree with Guy's process, he can appreciate that he gets results. So we basically learn that even though a team may consist of people that don't always get along, they do, however, always have each others back. Fun book. And good for the kids.
