Another book that I just wasn't overly thrilled with. I'm really not sure why. The art was ok. Scott Kolins really had my attention when he was doing his new stuff in the Flash book. But now he seems to have reverted to his old style. There's nothing wrong with it. I just liked the new stuff better. But it's just a personal preference. Our team has gone back to 15th Century Italy, to fight an alchemist that goes by the name El Diablo. He was such a pain in the butt to the other Italian scientists and magicians, of the time, that they sealed him in his own tower. However, by peering in to the future, he's found the Fantastic Four, whom he feels is his salvation. So he's abducted some of their family members to force them to come back and fight him. Actually, he wants them to free him from the tower. But if he stages it as a conflict, the Fantastic Four will do all the hard work, of breaking down the shields that are holding him in. And all he'll have to do is use some of his power to stop the Four, and then he can walk away a free man. It looks like his plan may work too. After arriving in the time period, dressed as a circus troupe to try not to draw to much attention to themselves, the Thing has essentially stormed the castle. But he is quickly taken out by El Diablo. Now El Diablo is using Reeds younger sister as a conduit for his power. He's decided to use his powers to take out the world. But now he has to decide which one to take out. His own? Or the world of the future? I'm holding out hope for a nice wrap-up to this story arc. But we'll have to wait until next issue to find out just what that's gonna be. I still love this Universe, and this title. I'm just not overly thrilled with this particular issue.
