Blue Beetle #13 - DC

So . . . now we know that the Scarab comes from an alien race, called the Reach. We also know that Jamie got the Scarab implanted on his spine, but for some reason, Peacemaker got the data-base. They were supposed to both remain together. I have a feeling that this has something to do with Jamie's ability to control and influence the Scarab. The Reach give him a test. They want to test his control over the Scarab and gauge his fighting abilities. The part that they're most surprised about is that Jamie fights their rogue agents without any fatalities. 0 deaths. This is not what they made the Scarab to do. And it's fighting Jamie on his choices. But Jamie is trying to convince it that there are different options than "Kill, Kill, Kill". It really is a symbiotic organism. And it seems to want or need Jamie's approval and communication. It seems like they're communicating and working together more and more every issue. Now they have to figure out what to do about the Reach. Their first contact was with Jamie and Peacemaker, and they tried to convince them that they came in peace. However, during the test, Jamie, or rather the Scarab, could tap in to the Reach communicating with the other Scarabs. So Jamie now knows what their plan is. But now that they've just introduced themselves to the President and the world, how does he fight them? We're going to have to wait till next issue to find out. And it looks like he may be enlisting Guy Gardner's help.
