Trinity #4 - DC

Well, Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and the rest of the Justice League are still fighting Konvikt and Graak. He seems to be compensating for the power that being used against him, and I don't know how he's not running out of energy. Wonder Woman notes that it's almost as if he as some inner reserve that he's drawing against. But it's still pretty much a stalemate throughout this issue. Batman has gone to examine their ship, to see if there's something he can find out there, but he doesn't notice that Graak is hiding in the shadows. Also, the evil side of this Trinity, Morgan Le Fey and Enigma are very intent upon watching what our heroes are capable of. I like the way they're bickering back and forth about their respect or hatred for this trio. In the back up story we once again see Tarot, Marguerita. But this time we see her dreams. She dreaming of Despero and his complete annihilation of Kan-jar Ro and his world. Despero is the third member of the evil side of this story. The weird part is, as she's dreaming she awoken by her telephone, and at the exact same time, as he's about to enter to energy portal that's going to take him to Earth, he turns and says . . "What's that noise?". It also turns out that the leaders of the gangs are looking for her. But it's not the MVG's, the gang that her cousin was with, it's the Culver Boulevard '66 . . . the gang that oversees the rest of them. They're about to send some meta-powered people after her. I love the characters that are in this series. And I love how Kurt Busiek is writing these stories so the back-ups obliquely fit in with the main story. But what really impress' me about this book it the amount of creative talent behind it. I thing Mark Bagley is doing a fantastic job on the opening storys. Especially considering that this is a weekly book. And then, on the back-up you have Mike Norton, Jerry Ordway and Scott McDaniel. Not to mention that Fabian Nicieza is helping with the scripts. This book truly has the recipe for greatness. I can't wait to see where it goes.
