X-Men #203 - Marvel

This is a fantastic book. The story is by Mike Carey, with the artwork done by Humberto Ramos. The guys back at the mansion are trying to bring blindfold back to life. Last issue, it appears that she went in to a coma. Meanwhile, Bobby and Sam, trying to escape the melee caused by the Marauders, have been diverted by Emma to go and retrieve the actual Destiny Diaries. That's what the Marauders were after, but Emma, Kitty and Scott hid them. Of all places, they're in an abandoned factory in Flint Michigan. Okay. Sam and Bobby get there first. But the bad guys are quickly on their tail. They put up a fight, as best they can, but eventually they're overwhelmed. In the process they both come within a hair's breath of being taken out, permanently. And the Destiny Diaries are destroyed by one of Gambit's exploding cards. They eventually elude them, but Bobby is only spared because Mystique let's him go. Does she have feelings after all? And Sinister has wiped away most of Sam's mind. He was going to leave him an empty husk, but he was interrupted in the process. So now I guess they're on their way back to the mansion. Also, they've brought Blindfold out of her coma, and she's spewing some nonsense that they can't seem to make heads or tails of. I guess we'll find out more next issue. In the Endangered Species story-line, Hank is fighting with the Dark Beast. He's upset because he experimented on one of the Guthrie's, Lewis, without his knowledge. He eventually takes the Dark Beast down, and does everything in his medical abilities to stabilize Lewis. But he says he's done with his union with . . . well, himself . . technically. Only 4 more chapters to go, until we see if Henry can indeed reignite the mutant species.
