I spend a lot of time and money buying and reading comics. Most of the time I'm happy with my choices, sometimes not. I'm hoping, that with my reviews on what I've read, I might spare someone else dissapointment. I'll read anything, but I can't afford everything. If there's something you'd like for me to read, let me know. If you take the time to read this, please, take the time to let me know what you think. I may not agree with you, or you may not agree with me. But, so what. That's life.

Ultimate Power #7 - Marvel
We're working our way to the final chapter of this story-arc. This issue we finally find out what's been going on behind the scenes. And what's really led to the situation that we're in right now. First of all I'd like to say that this is a brilliant story by Jeph Loeb. There's a lot of action, and interaction. And the way he's keeping this myriad of hero's straight is amazing. Also Greg Land is doing a fantastic job with the art. As usual. I was a little concerned when he got a new penciller, Jay Leisten. But nothings been diminished. First, this issue, we find out from Fury, after being threatened by Peter, that although it was Reed's probe that had been sent out in to the ether, it had been modified, per Fury's request, by Doom. He wanted whatever information Reed gathered to be sent to him first, and then to the Baxter Building. But I'm sure Doom did other things too. And during the process of this whole debacle, Doom has jumped ship and decided that he would like to conquer this world also. We also find out that Fury also brought the Hulk along. His theory, " . . if you've got a fox in your chicken house . . . get a bigger dog!" Then Reed finds out from Emil Burbank, this world's smartest man, that this whole thing wasn't even really his fault. Emil, and some General at the Pentagon, decided that there were to many "supers" popping up on their world. And eventually it was going to get to a point where they couldn't control them. Especially, Hyperion. So the General had Emil create this virus that would sweep over the world, probably killing 10's of thousands of people. But, it would also make the "supers" inert. Which to them . . was an acceptable price. Then they took Reeds probe, buried it somewhere in the virus, and let Hyperion find it. On the final page of this book we see a new Squadron Supreme. They're younger than the ones we've seen so far. I'm not sure where they're from, but next issue it's going to be an all-out battle . . . Squadron Supreme vs Squadron Supreme vs Ultimates. It should be a pretty action packed issue.
