Robin #166 - DC

I thought that this was another chapter of the last story-arc, the one about Dodge. But really, it's now. I guess it could be considered an epilogue, of sorts. In case no one caught on to it yet, the girl that was in Dodge's gang, was actually the Ravager. She was planted there by Robin when he found out what Dodge was up to with all his recruiting and such. She tells the group that she know Robin's identity. So of course Cheater and Brutus jump all over the opportunity to get some revenge. Which is what Robin was hoping for. He doesn't care so much about Cheater, he considers him b-list at best. But he does want to take down Brutus so he can take a stab at, and maybe cripple, Bapiste's organization. They take down Brutus, with one of the land-mines he planted along the park path, and more than a little help from Dodge, but Cheater gets away. At least . . he's gone. We don't really know where, or what happened to him, but when he's holding Dodge their powers interact and they both disappear. So that's another mystery that Robin's going to have to figure out sooner or later. But a good portion of this book was also spent trying to sort out Tim's High School life. He's going to take a shot at tennis. And he still doesn't know where he stands with Zoanne. Typical teenage angst stuff. This is another series that I feel that the creators have a great handle on. Again, it's not overly flashy, but Adam Beechen and Freddie E Williams II definitely know where they're going and what they want to do with this character. Tim Drake is a fantastic part of the DC Universe.
