Moon Knight #12 - Marvel

Man o' man is this story confusing. I'm really not liking the way that Charlie Huston is writing it. I got more information from the recap in the front of the book than I did from the rest of it. Not that there wasn't a whole lot of stuff going on throughout the story, but, it was so convoluted, it was hard to make sense of it all. Also, they're so far behind schedule that this story actually takes place before Civil War #'s 6 & 7. What was that? Like 4 or 5 months ago? Personally I would say, scrap the story, explain it in a one-shot or annual or something, and then move on to the next story-arc. Seriously! You're way behind schedule, and it's embarrassing. But anyways, there's basically 3 things going on. They happen at different times, and the story keeps bouncing back and forth between all 3. The present is after he's beaten Midnight and he's trying to mop up. Actually parts 2 & 3 are like the beginning and end of the same chapter, it's just told to us out of order. The beginning is when he goes to fight Midnight, but he's over-powered, captured and tortured. The end is when the robot nurse that's with Midnight over-comes her programming and helps Moon Knight beat the crap out of him, thereby setting up his defeat. Which really would've been the best way to tell it, but they keep going back and forth for some reason. Chapter 1 is before he goes after Midnight. A lot of it is conversation between him and Frenchie, but it's also the time when Tony Stark came to talk to him. Really, I don't understand why that was important to this story. Anyways, in the end, he beats Midnight. I assume that's his robot parts spread all over the ground. And hopefully we'll be moving on to the next chapter. Personally, I don't like this whole being haunted by Bushman thing. I know it's being done to help explain a whole lot of the stuff that's going on in Marc's head. But . . seriously, it's distracting. And if you're gonna keep him there, draw him more ghost-like. So we can tell who's real and who's not. I know that's to show how Marc see's it, but it's confusing to the reader, and as I said, distracting. Like when he's talking to Midnight, Bushman and the nurse all at the same time. After reading it, I'm really confused about who said what. But . . on a positive note . . . I think Mico Suayan's art is getting better. It's still not as good as David Finch, but it's showing promise.
