I spend a lot of time and money buying and reading comics. Most of the time I'm happy with my choices, sometimes not. I'm hoping, that with my reviews on what I've read, I might spare someone else dissapointment. I'll read anything, but I can't afford everything. If there's something you'd like for me to read, let me know. If you take the time to read this, please, take the time to let me know what you think. I may not agree with you, or you may not agree with me. But, so what. That's life.

Tales of the Sinestro Corps - Parallax #1 - DC
This one was all about Kyle Rayner. Which is cool. Basically he's been trapped inside his head this whole time. The illusion he's created for himself, probably to help cope, is that he's in his mother's house. Of course it's abandoned and empty. But, there is a painting in it that he and his mother used to always look at as he was growing up. It's of a little boy running through a field. They would look at it and make up stories about what the boy was running from, or where he was running to. And out the windows of this imaginary house, Kyle can see everything that his body, and therefore Parallax is doing. And it's really upsetting him, as currently he is beating up on Hal. He's beating up on the walls and doors, screaming, as he watches. Which is probably what brings Parallax inside to visit him. Not much is resolved, but it does inspire Kyle to try to fight back. He manifests his Green Lantern garb, and ring, and tries to express to Parallax how frustrated he is. He actually does pretty good, but in the end Parallax is just to strong. However, I don't think this is the end of the story. I think this is what's going to inspire Kyle to fight back with everything he's got, and finally break free of Parallax's influence. Much in the way Hal did when he was possessed. I'm glad Kyle hasn't been left by the wayside. He's a great character. And this gives me hope that they're going to do something with him in the future. It was a good story. The artwork left a little to be desired. But, overall, I thought it was a really good book. I can't wait for more.
