I spend a lot of time and money buying and reading comics. Most of the time I'm happy with my choices, sometimes not. I'm hoping, that with my reviews on what I've read, I might spare someone else dissapointment. I'll read anything, but I can't afford everything. If there's something you'd like for me to read, let me know. If you take the time to read this, please, take the time to let me know what you think. I may not agree with you, or you may not agree with me. But, so what. That's life.

New X-Men #39 - Marvel
I'm a little confused about what's going on here. I know that our young team of X-men have been taken to limbo. I don't understand if this person that they see down there is Illyana or Amanda Sefton. And she doesn't really seem to be on their side. She helped them stay safe, but I think it was only so that she could choose one to take their soul. She says that she lost her soulsword, and in order to get another one, she has to have someones soul. So, is she really aiding them, or just herding the sheep together so she'll have more than one to pick from? And what about Belasco? He can't be this stupid. Why in heaven, actually hell, would any of these kids be trying to protect Illyana. If they even know her at all, it's just barely. In fact when they were told the story, most of them didn't even believe it, they thought it was just folk-lore. So he's gotta know, this is really a stretch trying to get any information from these kids. Is Laura dead? David's been brought back to life, but will he be different? What about Josh? Is he ok? Belasco has the Cuckoo's out of commission, but I don't even remember seeing them come down here. And what about Megan? It appears that she's giving her soul to . . . whoever this person is. So . . . what's going to happen to her? This particular issue, to me, raises a lot more questions than it answers. Maybe that's the way it's supposed to be. But . . like I said . . it makes for kind of a confusing story. Hopefully things will be a little clearer next issue.
