Ghost Rider #12 - Marvel

This is the Ghost Rider part of the cross-over with the World War Hulk storyline. But to tell you the truth, we don't even see the Hulk until the last page. We start out with the usual, the Rider taking out one of the bodies that Lucifer has decided to take residency in. Only this time, the result of his actions ends up killing many more people than would have been had he let him run his course. He takes over a plane, so he can go to Buffalo, we don't know why. He kills the co-pilot, and he probably would've ended up killing some of the passengers. But GR comes in and tries to put a stop to it, and in the process ends up blowing up the whole plane. Not directly. It wasn't his intentions. But it is a result of his actions. So he decides to head towards Buffalo to find out what's there. But, in the process, he comes across this mass exodus from New York City. He finds out from the TV that the Hulk is there asking for Mr. Fantastic, Iron Man and Doctor Strange. If they don't show up, he says he's going to destroy the whole city. So obviously GR goes there, to throw himself in to the frakus. And on the last page he ends up at the feet of the Hulk. I think it'll be interesting to see how this story plays out. But I do have one concern. And yes it is minor. But Mark Texiera is not working with Javier this issue on the art. Instead we have Scott Hanna doing the inks over Mr. Saltares pencils. My concern is that it is nowhere near the quality of the previous work. Please don't tell me that Mark is off this book. Yes the Ghost Rider is a cool character, but the visuals make the book also. I've always said that some inkers compliment the artists, and some don't. That's not to say they're not a good inker. It's just that their 2 styles don't mesh well together. Well . . . that's how I feel about this artist duo. Don't get me wrong. It's not terrible. It's just not the quality that we're used to. I really hope Mark is coming back. Mark and Javier really compliment each other well.
