I spend a lot of time and money buying and reading comics. Most of the time I'm happy with my choices, sometimes not. I'm hoping, that with my reviews on what I've read, I might spare someone else dissapointment. I'll read anything, but I can't afford everything. If there's something you'd like for me to read, let me know. If you take the time to read this, please, take the time to let me know what you think. I may not agree with you, or you may not agree with me. But, so what. That's life.

Countdown #46 - DC
The more I'm reading this book, the more I'm liking it. This one has another stunning cover by Ed Benes. I think. I can't see the signature, but that's what it looks like. Anyways, this issue we're introduced to Forerunner. In the Monitor's words, "The Forerunner was chosen to be our sword, the weapon required should the need arise." She goes after Donna and Jason this issue. I guess they are the first 2 on her list. We actually deal with all the plot threads this issue. Jimmy is wondering about his dreams and his bursts of power. He's wondering if they're at all related to his incident with LightRay. So he goes to meet with Sleeze. He's a former aide and servant of Darkseid. He has some information for him, but before he can get to much of it out, someone kills him. All he gets out is, "Darkseid can finally be destroyed if you . . . .", and that's it. Holly just happens to be walking by the front of the building when this goes down, and saves a man about to be crushed by falling bricks. Mary Marvel has assumed Black Adams powers, and with it finds some women on top a hospital bringing a demon back to life. He is Pharyngula, the harvester of stillborn souls. And he's been trapped within the borders of the Rock of Eternity for a long time. Mary means well, but she's got her hands full with this guy. We also see the Rogues, which, surprise surprise, are spending most of their time arguing amongst themselves. And they're still working with Inertia. Then on the final page it appears as if Forefunner has taken out both Donna and Jason. We'll have to wait until next issue to see what she's going to do with them. Overall, I think, a great series. And I like the way the main titles are working with this one so there's not to much overlapping of stories. They compliment each other very well.
