Teen Titans #52 - DC

A fantastic story by Sean McKeever. He really captures the essence of all of these characters. And with Jamal Igle on pencils, it is very close to being the perfect book. The Titans from the future have come back to plague our young heroes. Supposedly there's something that's about to happen that the Titans from the future need to ensure so that their time-line will come to pass. It's some kind of test, where our young heroes have the choice of crossing the line . . . or not. So each of the future ones have begun hounding and berating their previous counterparts, so that they can ensure the lives that they've come to love so much. They've even gone to the extent of capturing the Justice League, so that they won't be able to interfere in the drama they're trying to unfold. The part that I'm not sure about, which should be explained to us, is that if these are the ones from the future . . . how come Flash is still alive, and Connor is still alive? All a conundrum . . I guess. Anyways, Blue Beetle shows up just in the nick of time and frees the JLA. But they can't really help because there's an attack elsewhere. Remember the Green Arrow / Black Canary bridal shower? But the Beetle does take down the Kid Flash all by himself. Pretty impressive. Then when he and Kid Devil and Ravager go outside of the cave, they've recently arrived through some kind of portal, they find that what's assembled is . . . a Titan army? You see some Titans, and you see some villains, but the scary part is they're all being led by Lex Luthor. This can't be good. This is a great book, with a fantastic story-line. I can't wait to see how it all shakes out. It looks like Supergirl and the Blue Beetle are going to become part of the team. But I guess we'll have to wait and see.
