Ok, here's what's going on this issue. The Forager has come to Earth, from New Genesis, to try to get some clues in to what's going on with all these New Gods deaths. So of course the first place she goes it to Jimmy Olsen. He doesn't really have any information for her, but they decide to look in to it together. Last issue, Trickster, Piper and Double Down were resting in the diner, while Rick Flag and company were observing them from outside. Well this issue they decide to make their move. Luckily Trickster sees what's going on and gets him and Piper hidden. Actually he uses " . . . a light-refraction generator. Projects a small invisibility field. Y'know, like Harry Potter's cloak." But then, when they have the chance to get away, they decide to hitch a ride and find out where all the villains are being taken. Yeah. That plan will work. Buddy Blank has taken Karate Kid, Una and his grandson to see Brother Eye. Brother Eye's not very happy about it, but when the grandson shows it some kindness, he seems to settle down. He doesn't know what Karate Kid has, but he does know where he can go to look. It's in a bunker under Bludhaven. Mary Marvel is over in Africa with Eclipso using Black Adam's powers in was he never would've thought of. She sees the things she's doing as passing judgement, but really they're just cruel irony. Very cruel. In fact the Detective Chimp asks, "Who elected her Spectre?" Which means that Shadowpact is about to be on her trail. And finally we have Kyle, Donna, Jason and Bob on Earth 8, the world of Havok and the Extremists. They try to escape, especially once Monarch and ForeRunner show up, but then find out that the Crime Society is actually working for Monarch now. And the combination of all of them is more than they can handle. The book ends with Donna knocked out, and ForeRunner holding her in a death grip. Another great issue in a great series, with a fantastic Ian Churchill cover. What more could you ask for?
