I spend a lot of time and money buying and reading comics. Most of the time I'm happy with my choices, sometimes not. I'm hoping, that with my reviews on what I've read, I might spare someone else dissapointment. I'll read anything, but I can't afford everything. If there's something you'd like for me to read, let me know. If you take the time to read this, please, take the time to let me know what you think. I may not agree with you, or you may not agree with me. But, so what. That's life.

the Brave and the Bold #7 - DC
What a fantastic book. And a welcome addition to my monthly lineup. Mark Waid and George Perez are both doing a great job with this one. George seems to be at the top of his game. I also think that Bob Wiacek is doing an incredible job with the inks. Actually "tracing", but I don't know if everyone will get the Chasing Amy reference. And I really like Tom Smith's colors. Very vibrant. Anyways, Wonder Woman and Powergirl have teamed up. Sort of. Actually I think Wonder Woman is more like a baby-sitter. Watching to make sure she doesn't destroy the thing she's trying to fix. They start out fighting mummies, and then each other. Then their quest leads them to the Royal Library of Alexandria, which is in some sort of pocket dimension, to fight Dr. Alchemy. But it's not really him. It's Megistus. . . . some ancient alchemist . . . who then inhabits Kara's body. Which leads to Wonder Woman and Kara fighting again. Anybody who likes chick fights should love this book. Anyways, all of this is because Dr Alchemy, actually Megistus, planted a post-hypnotic suggestion in Kara's mind to kill Superman. Which, when Megistus inhabits Kara's body, he's able to do himself. If not for the interference of Wonder Woman. Somehow she knocks Megistus' essence out of Kara, and back in to the Philosopher's stone. Which she then hurtles in to the sun. But as Superman points out, " . . we've unsuccessfully tried to destroy that stone before." We also get a couple pages of the Challengers story-line. They're studying the Book of Destiny, and they're intrigued by the fact that they're not in it. But then they race off to face another emergency. A stampede, in Phoenix, of extinct animals. Not sure what that's all about. And next issue we have the Flash, and the Doom Patrol.
