Ultimate Fantastic Four #45 - Marvel

This is a book that continues to live up to the expectations of being part of the Ultimate universe. Unlike it's X-men companion. Ok, Reed Richards was looking for a source to power his cosmic cube. He thought he had found one, and he attempted to reel it in. "It", however, happened to be the Silver Surfer. And where the Silver Surfer goes . . so to does his boss. After all he is a herald. But . . the twist is . . he's not a herald for Gah Lak Tus, he's a herald for King Revka Temerlune Edifex Scyros III . . . or Psycho-Man. Now I assume that most of you out there reading this book, are also FF fans and have followed them before. If so . . . you know who the Psycho-Man is. Well you can put all those predetermination's out of your head . . . because this ain't the Psycho-Man you know. Apparently he wants to take over the earth, by turning it in to paradise. Or more specifically, he's turning it in to Zenn-La. That's where the Surfer originally comes from. But he's created the illusion, in every-one's mind, that the world has been transformed, and they are all inhabitants of Zenn-La now. And it is a peaceful idealistic society. Everyone believes it, and enjoys it. Except . . for the Fantastic Four. They've all become part of the illusion. But subconsciously, they know something is wrong. And it's going to be Reed Richards, with the help of the Surfer, that brings the illusion crashing to the ground. Mike Carey does a fantastic job with these stories. Pun intended! And I would assume that he and Pasqual Ferry work off of each other, because I don't know how one person could come up with all of these ideas. However they do it though . . . I hope they keep it up. This is a great book. And a "fantastic" part of the Ultimate universe.
