I spend a lot of time and money buying and reading comics. Most of the time I'm happy with my choices, sometimes not. I'm hoping, that with my reviews on what I've read, I might spare someone else dissapointment. I'll read anything, but I can't afford everything. If there's something you'd like for me to read, let me know. If you take the time to read this, please, take the time to let me know what you think. I may not agree with you, or you may not agree with me. But, so what. That's life.

Countdown #36 - DC
Is it just me, or does this book seem to be counting down a lot faster than it counted up? I also can't believe that they're actually going to pull it off. In a 2 year span, we're going to have 103 issues of this book. That's just amazing! We start out this issue with a fantastic Shane Davis cover. Jim Calafiore, again, does the interior art. His style is perfect for the hectic pace of this book. It looks fantastic. And this issue Tony Bedard pitches in to help Paul Dini along with the scripts. We start out with Jason, Donna, Ryan and Bob in the Palmerverse. They're being attacked by a swarm of magical insects. Bob's trying to extricate them, but somebody seems to be jamming his devices from the outside. They finally come face to face with who's behind this attack . . . but we don't get to see his face. Meanwhile Mary Marvel is having an attack of her own. More a psychotic break . . . really. Zatanna is trying to help her with some mentoring. But Mary seems awful impatient and impetuous. She uses Zatanna's own talismans to attack her. And by the end, we find out that Eclipso is actually feeding in to her anger and rage. Jimmy actually comes face to face with the Justice League. But he's pretty intimidated. K Kid and Una are on the path of this Mister Orr. He's in an abandoned USAF base. When they get there, he sicks Equus on them. But it ends in a stalemate when he holds Una hostage for K Kid's surrender. And finally, Trickster and Piper have ended up in Ivy's lair by accident. She's ready to kill them, but they end up talking their way out of it. Things are going along swimmingly, until the host of the party shows up . . . . Deathstroke. I'm not sure what he's putting together with Ivy, but, it can't be good. I can't believe we're 15 issues in to this series already. Man it's flying by. But seriously, fantastic effort by all involved. A+
