I spend a lot of time and money buying and reading comics. Most of the time I'm happy with my choices, sometimes not. I'm hoping, that with my reviews on what I've read, I might spare someone else dissapointment. I'll read anything, but I can't afford everything. If there's something you'd like for me to read, let me know. If you take the time to read this, please, take the time to let me know what you think. I may not agree with you, or you may not agree with me. But, so what. That's life.

Superman #664 - DC
This book is another chapter in the Arion storyline. I like this story. But we only get a piece of it every 2 or 3 months. I'm not quite sure what that's all about. Anyways, Arion is agree at Superman for telling him "NO!", in the last go-around. No he won't quit being Superman. And No he won't quit trying to protect the people of Earth. So Arion tries to subdue him. Of course we all know that Superman is vulnerable to magic. But he's been taking some lessons from Jonn Jonnz, about mind control. And some lessons from Zatanna about the different types of spells that may be used against him, and the best way to counter them. So, with Arion's magiks, Superman is subdued, but he's not under Arion's influence. But that doesn't stop Squad K from attacking him. Apparently the Govt. has put together a tactical response team for just this eventuality. They are on call, and prepared at a moments notice, should someone get control of Superman. Also, the Justice League shows up, ready to take him down if they have to. So while Superman can understand where they're coming from, and why they would feel that such a response may be necessary, it still doesn't make him very comfortable about his changing image in the public's eye. And really all he wants to do is catch up to Arion, and try to put a stop to this whole thing. But one thing after another keeps popping up in his path. Finally the Trickster decides to try to take advantage of the situation. Which really pisses of Superman. So he uses one of Tricksters robots to track his signal back to his source. Once there he makes pretty short work of the Trickster and the rest of his crew. But at the end of the book, Superman makes a vow, "You're out there somewhere, Arion. And I know you're not giving up. And no matter how much you think you're doing the right thing. The price you ask is too high. Way too high. I'm going to find you, Arion. If you're smart, you'll just run back to the seventeenth century, where you came from. Otherwise I'm going to find you, and I'm going to stop you, and I don't think you're going to enjoy it . . ." But according to the web-site, it won't be for a few more months before this storyline wraps up. Meanwhile, this was a fantastic book by Kurt Busiek and Carlos Pacheco.
