JSA vs KOBRA #6 - DC

I'll tell you what, this Jason Burr has really transformed Kobra into a brand new kind of threat for the JSA . . and the world. Although he's using all the resources available to him as leader of Kobra, he's following a plan that only he knows. So, any feints or shadow-attacks are perceived as a threat, while his true intentions lie elsewhere. This issue the JSA is kept busy trying to circumvent dozens of planned attacks all over the world, while Mr Terrific believes that Jason's true target is the President. He splits up his 'troops' according. However, we come to find out that while the President is attacked, it's the charity gala hosted by the UN for Biaylan relief that is his true target. 'The leaders of the 'free world' all gathered together. I could not imagine a more perfect display of Kobra's reach.' When he lets the participants of the gala know his intentions, he's questioned by the Secretary General as to his 'demands'. 'Political concessions? Money? I'm afraid not. I just want you all to die. Your deaths bring the world closer to redemption. Take consolation in that.' And his biggest weapon right now is the magic that he uses to turn anyone in true believers of Kali Yuga. He's been thinning the current ranks of Kobra, to eliminate the weak. But then he can replenish almost immediately with a whispered spell, and the release of some chemicals . . your neighbors, your co-workers, hell . . even your own family members. Currently . . no one is immune. And . . Jason also currently has control of all of the rogue AI that Checkmate used to have in it's Zoo. The story ends here after Jason completes his 'mission', and then slithers away to hide in the minutia of the world. But . . this story is far from over. In fact, it's really only just begun. Eric S Trautmann did a fantastic job of writing this story. I really liked the way he has Mr Terrific and Jason Burr going at each other like 2 chess-masters. So far Michael's been able to keep up with him, but . . he's still a step or 2 behind. He needs to figure out how to gain an advantage so that he can attack. I also loved Don Kramer's artwork. I'm sad that this is the last issue of this series, but . . I don't think it's the end of the story . . by far.
