JSA vs Kobra #3 - DC

With this issue, it appears that Mr Terrific is finally starting to think the way that Jason Burr, the new leader of KOBRA, may be thinking. So far he and the rest of the JLA have just been reacting to the threats they've been presenting . . being led around by the nose. But Michael is starting to realize that they're being led astray . . presented a target, while the real target lies elsewhere. And with this way of thinking, he's finally realized that the real target appears to be their computer . . thier information stores. As you know, now . . information is power. And that appears to be what Jason is after. Also . . he wants a transporter. He attacks Ted Knight's museum / home in Opal City. It appears that Ted consulted with a scientist, Dr Saul Erdel. "Erdel's experiments in high-energy detection which accidentally yielded teleportation. Erdel's notes were lost years ago, though some fragments remained. Fragments in Ted Knight's personal paper. All stored here. Remember that, in the days to come. Remember the legacy of a fallen hero, and the use I'll be putting it to." This, however, has served to increase Michael's determination. "He's out of control. Utterly insane. The murder of innocents. The murder of his own people. And now this. I'm sick to death of playing catch-up. Next time, I swear . . I'll be the one setting the rules of our game." The other way that Jason's plan is affecting everything, is that it's causing a wedge within the ranks of the JSA. Powergirl and Michael seem to be more at odds of late. And with a power struggle at their core, the other members of the JSA seem to be siding with whomever they believe in the most . . whether they're aware of it or not. This story-line may also be the catalyst that serves to have them split into two distinct teams. I'm guessing, but . . that's the feeling that I'm getting. Eric S Trautmann is doing a great job with this story-line. I really like all the subtleties and nuances that he's putting into it. Regardless of what happens, things are definitely going to change after this one. I also think Don Kramer did a fantastic job with the art. The entire book was beautiful. Creepy in parts. But still beautiful.
