Uncle Sam & the Freedom Fighters #5 - DC

Another awesome installment of this title. I mean, just look at that cover. It's breathtaking. And the inside are, also by Daniel Acuna, is just as incredible. Again many frames in this issue that could be pieces of art. But, on top of the art, Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray are doing an astounding job with the script. And I'm a firm believer that I don't care how good the art is, if the story is done right. The art is just the icing on the cake. I mean look at some of the early Image books. Fantastic art, but no substance. Anyways our team of heroes has been met by the govt. team First Strike. In the media, our team is being spun as the bad guys, and no other metas are allowed to interfere for fear of treason charges. Our team makes pretty short work of first strike. That is until Miss America shows up. She seems to be able to take peoples powers away by knowing their greatest weakness'. They're all incarcerated and tortured by SHADE, until the Red Bee shows up to break them out. Miss America shows up again, but then so does the original. I don't know how this one's going to play out. But we got 3 more issues to find out. Again, I want to make the plea, please don't let this team fade away after this series. The characters and the concept is to good to let just gather dust in somebodies "out" box. Please, give it the life it deserves.
