Spawn #162 - Image

Well this is it. The end of the world as we know it. Well . . . . . . at least in Spawn world. It appears that Spawn has bested everyone. The feathers on the cover are from Zera, god's chosen angel of wrath. So with the amount of feathers on the cover, you can imagine what Spawn's done to her. Well . . . maybe not. Think Texas Chainsaw Massacre. And then, maybe, you'll have some idea. The final 3 pages are epic. "With a heavy heart, Spawn summoned the power bestowed on him by the Mother of Creation." "For there can be no creation without destruction." "When he looked about him and saw what he had done, Spawn wept. For all the world was desolation . . . . . and mankind was no more." That's it. It's all gone. So where do we go from here? Well according to the next issue blurb, "The final conflict is over. So what happens after the end of the world? A pivotal issue in a must have story arc in the Spawn mythos, wrapping up 163 issues of continuity. Saying anything more would just give it away." Could you be any more oblique? Guess we'll have to wait and see what happens.
