This was a fun book. Of course they had to create a first meeting with Batman and the Spirit. But the way they played it out was pretty good. Of course with Jeph Loeb on the script, I didn't expect anything less. What I was really surprised by was Darwyn Cooke's pencils. I'm not a huge fan, but they were perfect for this story. I assume he's going to be on the monthly also. He's trying to fill some mighty big shoe's, of Will Eisner's. Good luck to ya' bro. They brought in all of the Spirit's and the Batman's huge ensemble of characters. So you got to see a little bit from both sides of the fence. Overall it was a nice book and I liked it. I'm looking forward to the monthly.
