This is a neat kinda' book. Bill Willingham writes it. And he weaves a very twisted, ironic and kinda' disturbing story. This is another book that I'm not thrilled with the art. But, I do feel that Matthew Sturges does have a good feel for this book and it's characters. So, it's OK. Jack has finally pulled together his escape from Fabletown. But now, the Bagmen are after him. They seem to be unbeatable, but then Sammy pulls out a knife and cuts one open. They appear to be even worse on the inside. Some kind of very disturbing alien or something. But it's just as surprised as they are, so they get away. But then the tigers come after them. But Humpty Dumpty has some kind of weapon hidden inside him. It destroys him, but he does take out the tigers. Jack ends up alone with Goldilocks, but he figures out that she's been a spy for Revise all along. It looks like the rest of the Fables are rounded up, but Jack gets away. And he's last seen hitchhiking down a highway in Idaho carrying his briefcase. Cool book, and neat concept. This is the end of the first story. It looks like there may be a hiatus before the book comes back. But they assure us, "A new story will start soon enough. So cool your jet's already."
