Wolverine Origins #9 - Marvel

I told you when this series first started that it was called Wolverine Origins. But not because they were his origins, but rather the people around him and how he affected them. Well this book we see how Logan was instrumental in the training and indoctrination of Black Widow. She is his contact in Berlin. She knows where the Carbonadium synthesizer is. She's willing to tell him, and then all he has to do is go get it. The problem is, Omega Red has Jubilee. And Logan isn't going anywhere without her. The other problem is that in trying to help Logan, she thought it would be in his benefit to send SHIELD to where Omega Red is rather that to Logan's location. Not a good thing. He's afraid that in the fire fight, Jubilee will be the one who suffers. So as they watch the strike, from a building across the block, Logan goes out on the roof, where they can all see him, to let them know they're in the wrong location. He's also holding up the fake synthesizer. But they don't know that. So next issue, which wraps up this story arc, they'll all be landing on him. Fantastic series by Daniel Way and Steve Dillon. I stopped buying the alternate covers, but other than that, I really like the series.
