Onslaught Reborn #2 - Marvel

The cover at the left is the Liefeld cover. The variant is by Mad, and it's awesome. Sorry, but I'm not a huge Liefeld fan. Anyways, I'm starting to get the feel for this book this issue. Last issue was ok, but I have to admit I wasn't sure exactly what was going on. So anyways, Franklin has retreated to the pocket universe he created why he tried to save the heroes during Heroes Reborn. Hence the name, Onslaught Reborn. He's gone there to lure Onslaught there, hopefully, I think to beat him. I hope he doesn't think that these heroes are disposable since he created them. But, you never know. But as soon as he gets there Captain America and Bucky come to his aid. Followed shortly by the Avengers. When they think they have Onslaught beaten down, they make a hasty retreat to the Baxter Building, to try to sort out what's going on. See, in this universe, Reed and Sue never got married. As they're trying to sort things out, the Hulk attacks. Actually he throws a steam roller up 30 floors into the building. Franklin thinks that he may be being controlled by Onslaught, but when he's attacked by Thor, on the final page, it appears that Thor is the one under Onslaught's control. Luckily this series is written by Jeph Loeb. So it should play out pretty well. We'll just have to see where we go from here.
