Superman / Batman #62 - DC

This issue was a quick little fill-in. Kara, now Linda Lang, meets up with Tim in Gotham for lunch. They've become friends during Linda's short time on Earth and they've decided to hang-out and catch up. They talk about their mentors and then they fill us in on their first case together. Superman brought Kara to the cave to meet Robin. Superman and Batman were needed elsewhere on JLA business, so they thought this would be a good time for 2 to meet, and for Tim to share some of his knowledge and training with her. But, before they even get started they're called away on a hostage situation at Arkham Asylum. This is back when Kara was a lot more impetuous than she is now . . well, a little more. She still can't control her emotions very well. Anyways, she rushes in and is appalled by what she finds . . the Joker mutilating a woman and laughing and making jokes the whole time. She really wants to kill him, but Tim stops her. Anyways, over the course of the day that apprehend all of the 'crazies'. Well all except one . . Zsasz. He's also spent the day adding to his body count. This time it's Robin that freaks out and wants to kill him, and Kara has to talk him down. Anyways, they make a cute team and their personalities play well off of each other. I enjoyed the little respite by Michael Green, Mike Johnson and Rafael Albuquerque. It was interesting. A bit predictable. But a nice fill-in. I still like this series and it's concept . . alot. I really hope it's not affected by all the happenings in the DC Universe right now.
