Dark Avengers #7 - Marvel

This is the Dark Avengers book, but . . this particular issue pertains more to the Dark X-Men then their brothers. Everyone's in San Franciso now, trying to calm the riots that were created when Simon Trask and his Humanity Now coalition came walking into town. So, being that it's a mutant problem, Norman Osborn elected to choose a mutant solution. He sends the X-Men out into the fray. But it's the X-Men of his choosing. So now Emma and her gang are out there trying to quell the violence without any of her brethren getting hurt. Her first task is to round up the group of kids that have decided to ignore the curfew and attack Union Square. They consist of Hellion, Lorelei, Adam X, Match, Meld, Avalanche and Sunspot. They're an unlikely group of amigos, but . . they've decided it was time to make a statement. However it looks, it all works out well for Emma because she gets to see where the mutants are being held on Alcatraz Island. She also finds out about the Omega Machine, but not what the full consequences of it use are. While in his proximity, Charles attempts to reach out to Emma. I assume she can hear him, but she's in diamond form so she can't talk back telepathically. He's worried about Henry. Since going through the procedure, Henry is having some severe adverse affects. His nails are falling out, and he's lost most of his fur. Like I said, I assume that Emma has heard him, but she can't do anything right now because the Dark Beast has everything shrouded behind holographic images. She can't tip her hand . . just yet. However, on the other side of town, we see that Trask has decided to call-to-arms all those that he's 'converted' since arriving. "I say the only good mutant is dead or dying. And so now I say . . rise! Rise and destroy! Destroy it all!" It looks like the 'crap' is about to hit the fan. I think everyone is going to have their hands full for the next chapter of this. I liked the book, although I wish I would've seen more of the Dark Avengers. However, it was a good chapter in this story-line. Plus, at the end, it looks like the Dark Avengers and the Dark X-Men are about to go at it themselves. This chapter is brought to us by Matt Fraction and Luke Ross. No Mike Deodato Jr this issue either. What a shame. But Luke's stuff looked pretty good.
