I spend a lot of time and money buying and reading comics. Most of the time I'm happy with my choices, sometimes not. I'm hoping, that with my reviews on what I've read, I might spare someone else dissapointment. I'll read anything, but I can't afford everything. If there's something you'd like for me to read, let me know. If you take the time to read this, please, take the time to let me know what you think. I may not agree with you, or you may not agree with me. But, so what. That's life.

Uncanny X-Men Annual #1 - Marvel
It appears that annuals are all the rage again. After having none for a while, then having them but them being called something else (Summer Special, 2005 Special, Special Event, whatever), it's good to finally get them back again. And it looks like everyone is going to be putting one out this summer. Yippee! This issue is an inbetween issue. It falls between issue #474 of the X-men, and the new "Wedding of the Century" storyline. I'm not sure if that storyline will be in an X book or exclusively in Black Panther. My guess is Black Panther, and they're showcasing it in X-Men to try to get you to cross titles. Maybe. We'll see. But we got Bishop, Psylocke, Nightcrawler, Cannonball and Phoenix, in Africa, coming to Storm's aid. There's lots of flashbacks for Storm. And a lot of storybuilding to help you figure out what going on in this little country of Turkana. Throw in a Sentinel, an evil dictator and his mercenary soldiers, and you have the X-men in a "BlackHawk Down" situation. So while the X-men are doing all this fighting, Storm is going on a little soul searching, while she's trying to recover from some wounds that she's recieved. By the end of the search, she has decided what she needs to do. She goes to take down the dictator, only to find out that he is her uncle. This is one of those X-men issues, that doesn't really advance the story line very much, but, gives you a ton of information. At the end we're set up for the "Wedding of the Century".
