Blue Beetle #7 - DC

We learn a little more about Jamie Reyes this issue. Or more specifically, how he survived the Infinite Crisis, and some of what happened during the One Year Later. Jamie and his family are out searching for answers, so they've gone to the spot where he crash landed when he came back to earth. The new Peacemaker is along for the ride also, but I'm not really sure why. Anyways, as they're talking through things, he is also remembering things from his trip to the deep recesses of space. He remembers that Booster Gold came and got him and took him to the Batcave where the Beetleship was. There he met the Justice League shortly before they all took off to space. He also learns that the tech that the Brother Eye satelite uses to alter it's vibrational frequency, is the same tech that was used to create the Scarab. Where did Batman get this technology? Once in space, and aboard Brother Eye, the only way to beat it was to blow up the gizmo that created the transdimensional frequencies. But as the satellite was destabilizing, the heroes decided to retreat. However, in the group was 2 Green Lanterns. For some reason the Scarab view GL's as a threat. So as they were leaving it used the same transdimensional frequencies to hide from the GL's. So now Jamie had no way home. Also when Brother Eye blew it shoved him further along between dimensions. "Time works differently there. That year . . . . . was just a couple minutes for me.", says Jamie. To which Peacemaker replys, "So now you know, kid. The Scarab was built by some alien race. Some alien race big and bad enough to have a beef with the Green Lanterns." "You just gotta' ask yourself 2 questions. Why did they make it? And what happens now that you woke it up?" Pretty ominous ending for the book. So I guess next issue he's going to start trying to dig into the Scarab's past. Good luck with that.
