I spend a lot of time and money buying and reading comics. Most of the time I'm happy with my choices, sometimes not. I'm hoping, that with my reviews on what I've read, I might spare someone else dissapointment. I'll read anything, but I can't afford everything. If there's something you'd like for me to read, let me know. If you take the time to read this, please, take the time to let me know what you think. I may not agree with you, or you may not agree with me. But, so what. That's life.

the Authority #13 - WildStorm
This issue is almost entirely about the attack on un-London and the Carrier by Gamorra. It appears that Kaizen has decided to make his presence known. So far there were only rumors, and speculation that Gamorra had survived . . . and prospered. But there's no question about it now . . Kaizen wants to grab the reigns of this broken world . . or at least what's left of it . . and show it who's boss. The problem is . . that means that everybody else has to bow-down and gravel at his little pointed shoes. There's more than a few people that aren't going to go quietly into that night . . the Authority being one of the chief opponents. We get to see Angie, Jack and Swift in action this issue. Especially Angie and Swift . . taking out some of Gamorra's cannon-fodder. And, by the end of the issue, Jack comes face to face with Cybernary. Jack's either going to have to rise to the occasion, or . . he's going to be toast. Noticeably absent from the fray is Midnighter. He's had a visionary dream, he thinks, courtesy of the doctors, and they've to him to go north to find what he needs to help heal his friend . . Apollo. He's been missing him so much lately . . and heartbroken, he can do nothing but follow whatever 'hope' is cast his way. I have a feeling that the true mettle of this team is going to be tested next issue. Despite everything they've gone though in this post-Armageddon landscape . . they have yet to face a threat of this magnitude. I hope they haven't gone to soft and weak. I thought this was a great opening chapter to this story-arc by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning. I really like what they've been doing with this book of late. Simon Coleby and Drew Johnson do the art. Who knows . . this book may rise to the top of my list of team books again. Maybe!
