Krypto #6 - DC

Well, 2 indulgences in the same day. Must be my lucky day. This story though is actually very silly. But I bought it because it's only a mini-series. Plus I figured, since my guy only ordered like 2 issues of each of these, that's it's probably a pretty low print run. And anytime you can get some books like that it's always a good thing. Anyways, this is the last issue. This one also has Beppo the super-monkey. When was the last time you saw him? It also has Bat-hound. So overall it was just a fun diversion. But that's ok. We all need one of those every once in a while.

Krypto #5 - DC

I know that this book is a silly indulgence, but I just can't help it. Sometimes, after reading all the heavy handed drama in the normal titles, I just need something that I can sit down with for a quick read. I get a few chuckles out of it. It doesn't make me think to much. And it's fun. This is one of my quick fix books. Plus, I'm glad there's a medium out there for our younger collectors. Hey, we gotta get them in to the genre somehow. Anyways, I like this book. I know it'll probably never have any value, but you know what? So what.

Krypto #3 - DC

Again, just another fun book to read. Being a comic fan for so long, I've developed three basic things that I love in the industry, great writers, fantastic artists, and books that are pure fun. That's where this one falls. It's not great. It doesn't suck. It's just a fun, quick read. Sometimes it's nice to pick up a book, give it a quick read, and not be caught up in some grandiose space opera. You know what I mean. Well that's what these Johnny DC books are all about. They're aimed at kids, but they're just as fun for us jaded fans to read. Thanks to DC for keeping books like this on the market.

Krypto #2 - DC

Another fun kid's book from DC. I like this line of books that they've come up with, in that it's a diversion from the normal books of their DC or Vertigo lines. This is just a fun read. And, I like that they're giving some attention to the younger audience. After all, if we want this medium to stay alive and successful, we have to start growing a new audience for the future somewhere. So now they have 4 cool titles, which I also buy a copy of for my 8 year old nephew, "Teen Titans Go!", "Justice League Unlimited", "Batman Strikes" and now "Krypto". Actually, they have 4 other titles also, "Cartoon Network Action Pack", "Cartoon Network Block Party", "Scooby Doo" and "Looney Tunes". I'm not sure if they still have "Power Puff Girls" or not. But anyways, some really cool books for kids. I'm glad that they realize that, "Yes! Kids still do buy comic books!".
