I spend a lot of time and money buying and reading comics. Most of the time I'm happy with my choices, sometimes not. I'm hoping, that with my reviews on what I've read, I might spare someone else dissapointment. I'll read anything, but I can't afford everything. If there's something you'd like for me to read, let me know. If you take the time to read this, please, take the time to let me know what you think. I may not agree with you, or you may not agree with me. But, so what. That's life.

X-Men Forever #11 - Marvel
Last issue Peter missed Logan's funeral. He'd been contacted by the President of Russia and asked to be it's protector. It was something that he couldn't refuse. He now finds himself in the company, both professionally and intimately, of the Black Widow. The issue starts with them on a mission to retrieve some stolen technology . . that of the Crimson Dynamo. But they're quickly joined by Kitty, Remy and 'Ro who have come to check up on Peter. They know that he wouldn't have missed Logan's funeral unless it was really important, so . . they want to see if he may need their help. Kitty is pretty jealous when she sees the feelings that have manifested between Peter and the Black Widow. But, at the same time . . she wants him to be happy. Meanwhile Jean has stepped in as leader, while Scott has returned to Alaska to spend some time with family. She and Hank are concerned about the recent revelation about all of their powers . . the end result of the mutant gift. Reed, Tony Stark and Charles have all come up with an empty slate for the answer. But that's the type of challenge that Hank excels the best at. Charles is having a discussion with his new house-mate, Nick Fury. And the issue ends with Illyana being scooped up by a mysterious figure in a big car. 'A glorious destiny awaits you, young lady. The time has come for the rebirth of . . Magik!' So far I really like this little experiment of Chris Claremonts. To me, it really feels like I'm reading some of the old issues of Uncanny. I feel like we're getting back to the basics of the X-Men. As usual with Chris' stories, there's lots of dangling plot threads hanging around already. Obviously nobody but Chris could take on this project. And with this story-arc Tom Grummett is back on pencils. I also like this twice-a-month schedule. It's really helping the story keep a nice pace to it.
