I spend a lot of time and money buying and reading comics. Most of the time I'm happy with my choices, sometimes not. I'm hoping, that with my reviews on what I've read, I might spare someone else dissapointment. I'll read anything, but I can't afford everything. If there's something you'd like for me to read, let me know. If you take the time to read this, please, take the time to let me know what you think. I may not agree with you, or you may not agree with me. But, so what. That's life.

Vigilante #12 - DC
We found out last issue that this new Vigilante was actually Adrian's brother, Dorian Chase. He always felt like he was the screw-up of the family, especially living in Adrian's shadow. But at least he kept his head above water until he married a mobster's daughter, Solomon Bennett. For some reason, which we don't know yet, Dorian was set up to look like he murdered her. They claimed that he found out she was having an affair. Obviously Dorian knows the truth, so when JJ came to him in prison to tell him that Adrian had taken his life . . Dorian decided to take up his brother's cause. Which is why he'd been in Europe the last few years giving Solomon Bennett a chase, and throwing a wrench into whatever mob business he can. Anyways, because of all this, and Solomon seeing JJ with Adrian and Dorian at the court case, he's connected JJ to Dorian and kidnapped him. Dorian doesn't think that he realizes the he and the Vigilante are one in the same, but . . I think he does. Why else would he go after JJ? And why would he stir up the trouble that the Vigilante brings if he didn't think he'd be killing 2 birds with one stone? Anyways, Dorian frees JJ but then has to give him self up to the quickly arriving FBI agents. It's the only way he can give JJ enough time to flee. If he puts up a fight, JJ might be hurt in the process. So at the end of the book Dorian ends up at Strykers. But it doesn't seem to phase him much. He's previously spent 5 years in a place like this, so he knows what to expect. In fact if I had to guess I'd say that he probably feels sorry for the guys that have to be stuck in here with him. I like the way that Marv Wolfman approached this book. This book ends the series, but . . it's kind of an open ending. Really . . anything could happen from here. I don't think this is the last we've heard of Dorian, or of Solomon Bennett. Although I'm not convinced that the shadowy guy that led Vigilante around all issue was actually Solomon. I'm not sure who he was, but I think he has a different agenda. So obviously we'll see him again also. I really enjoyed Rick Leonardi's pencils, and Walt Simonson's covers on this entire series. I was a fan of the first series, so it wasn't to much of a stretch for me to get into this one. With a little luck, maybe we'll see Dorian/Vigilante pop up someplace soon.
