I spend a lot of time and money buying and reading comics. Most of the time I'm happy with my choices, sometimes not. I'm hoping, that with my reviews on what I've read, I might spare someone else dissapointment. I'll read anything, but I can't afford everything. If there's something you'd like for me to read, let me know. If you take the time to read this, please, take the time to let me know what you think. I may not agree with you, or you may not agree with me. But, so what. That's life.

the Amazing Spider-man #611 - Marvel
This issue was just . . silly. It was a welcome change after that last issue of the X-Men though. I needed something a little more light-hearted. This one definitely filled that bill. Anyways, this issue, for the most part was just a fill-in. Next issue the Gauntlet story-line begins, and I guess they just wanted to give Spidey a little breathing room before that happened. Basically what happens this issue is that Kraven's wife and daughter, Ana, are putting the final touches on things before the Gauntlet begins. They've already captured Madame Web, so this issue they hire Wade, Deadpool, to keep Spider-man out of their hair for another day. Spider-man thinks he's trying to kill him, but then after he leads him far enough away from Midtown, and enough time has passed, Wade says 'That's a wrap! Whoo! Man I can't believe I almost hit you with mamageddon . . job's over. You wanna get a beer or something.' In that time their purpose for hiring Wade was to stop Spider-man from crossing paths with Anya Coazon, or Eddie Brock . . ahead of time. And they also use that time to capture Spider-Woman, Mattie Franklin. Of course they can do all of this because of Madame Web's help. Not volunteer help either. Because of Deadpool this issue overwhelms us with hilarity. Overall I liked the story. Wade's dialogue is always a bit over the top. And Joe Kelly wrote him especially witty this issue. Eric Canete does the art. To me, it almost had a Duncan Rouleau type feel to it. But . . not as good. It was ok, but the whole thing just seemed kind of choppy. Anyways, like I said . . this sets us all up for the Gauntlet storyline starting next issue. I have a feeling the next couples months of Peter's life are going to be hell.
