I spend a lot of time and money buying and reading comics. Most of the time I'm happy with my choices, sometimes not. I'm hoping, that with my reviews on what I've read, I might spare someone else dissapointment. I'll read anything, but I can't afford everything. If there's something you'd like for me to read, let me know. If you take the time to read this, please, take the time to let me know what you think. I may not agree with you, or you may not agree with me. But, so what. That's life.

Smallville - Idol - Season 9 Episode 8 - CW
Well, with this episode, it seems that the Wonder-Twins have come to the small screen. Zan and Jayna even had the pet alien, Gleek bedazzled onto their phone. I thought that was a neat touch. Anyways, the kids on the show are huge fans of the 'Blur'. Having powers of their own, they've decided to help him out by taking on crimes of their own and leaving the 'Blur's' calling card behind. Although most of their attempts are failures, if not out-right embarrassing. And really, they only end up bring Clark's alter-ego negative attention. Which causes the Mayor to call him out in public. They even do their whole 'powers activate' thing. You know, when they punch fists together. Anyways, that story takes up most of the episode, but the important part was that Lois is beginning to suspect that Clark is the 'Blur'. It all starts when the jamming device on his phone gets messed up and she hears his real voice. After that she starts trying to put all the pieces together. Chloe gives him a bit of a save by calling Lois, when Clark's around, and disguising her voice to sound like the 'Blur's'. It was very reminiscent of the comic stories from the 70's. At that time Lois was beginning to suspect that Clark was Superman, and every story seemed to revolve around her trying to prove it in one way or another. Also at the time, it seemed like Lois was always getting in these 'life or death' situations and Clark, or Superman would end up having to save her. That's what happens this time when the Mayor throws her off the top of the Daily Planet. It was kind of nostalgic because we haven't seen that element in the stories since the mid 80's when Clark came out to Lois and they got married. It was nice to see that tenacious side of Lois' personality again. And by the end of the episode Clark decides to start wearing his famous disguise . . the infamous glasses. He makes this big scene by confessing to Lois that he's been trying to hide the fact that he has to wear them. Her response? 'You know, they have this new-fangled invention called contacts.' I thought it was hilarious. All in all I thought it was a good episode. We didn't make any progress as far as the Kandorians. But Zod was mentioned, and Lois had a couple visions of the future . . specifically Clark and the ravaged Earth. Also . . no Ollie this episode.
