I spend a lot of time and money buying and reading comics. Most of the time I'm happy with my choices, sometimes not. I'm hoping, that with my reviews on what I've read, I might spare someone else dissapointment. I'll read anything, but I can't afford everything. If there's something you'd like for me to read, let me know. If you take the time to read this, please, take the time to let me know what you think. I may not agree with you, or you may not agree with me. But, so what. That's life.

X-Men - Legacy #226 - Marvel
Basically, this issue catches us up on what the rest of the X-Men are doing during these riots in San Francisco. Rogue had heard of what's going on, so she, Danger and Remy are on their way back there right now . . from the Australian Outback. All Scott really wants it to gather up his students and any other mutants they can, and get them to safety . . out of the rioting. The problem is, between the police, the angry mutants, and of course the Humanity Now! coalition, whom I'm wondering how many are under Bastion's control, it's not like they can walk in and walk out. No matter which direction they go, they're going to meet opposition . . from somebody. And now . . HAMMER and Osborn's Avengers are involved. Rogue comes up against Ms Marvel. She can't beat her, but she does outwit her. But then she walks right towards Ares. Again, she doesn't have the power she used to, but . . she's thinking she may be able to borrow some of his. However, she wasn't quite ready to absorb a god. Danger and Remy have to charge a man-hole cover and throw it between them to act as a circuit breaker. That's the only way they can get them apart. The issue ends with them grabbing a tank and heading out to find Trance. The only problem I have with this storyline is . . I can't see it really ending any other way than bad. The only way the X-Men can gain any credibility is if they find some way to expose the people that Bastion is controlling. The problem is . . they don't even know he's behind all of this. And with HAMMER and the Avengers involved, I'm afraid it's just going to serve to incite things even more. I just don't see a winning scenario here. Anyways, Mike Carey writes it, and Dustin Weaver does the art. I don't know that we've seen Dustin's art before, but . . it shows a lot of promise. I'd really like to get past all of this Dark X-Men stuff and get back to some regular X-Men stories, but . . I think it's gonna' be a while before any of this dust settles.
